This is an example of my transaction plans. I am planning for 9/7/14 with 3 separate transactions in order to use my ECB from previous weeks and to use earned rewards in each transaction.
I am starting with $4.99, $6.99, and $3 ECB from previous weeks. In order to save the most, I make sure my rewards get close to the total amount before taxes (must pay tax).
Transaction 1:(Total before taxes is $11.98, planning to use the $6.99 + $4.99 = $11.98)
The first transaction leaves me paying only tax, and getting back $7, and $4.99 ECB. I still have the $3 as well.
Transaction 2: (Total before taxes is $7.99, planning to use $4.99 + $3= $7.99)
The second transaction leaves me paying tax only, plus left with $5 ECB. I still have the $7 as well. With Transaction 2, i also will submit the receipt to receive a $5 rebate through Ibotta (listed under the MIR section of my chart). There is also a rumor that there is an $8 MIR in the store so check for that. I know I will be looking for it!!
Transaction 3:(Total before taxes is $5.50, planning to use the $5 ECB)
My final transaction leaves me paying $0.50 + tax.
Overall, my shopping trip OOP = $0.50 before taxes ($2.87 with tax), earning $5+$7=$12 ECB, and a rebate of $5!!!
